Clues for the Republican Party, particularly those party types, pundits, and consultants urging them to “make the tent bigger” or concentrate on “targeted demographics”:
Total Latino votes in the November, 2012 election amounted to slightly over 7% of the total cast. The Democrat Party received 71% of these.
Evangelical votes in the 2012 election, however, amounted to 26% of total votes cast. Of these, the Republican Party got 78% of the total.
Mitt Romney lost, in part, due to a large amount of conservative Caucasian voters who stayed home. Many of these were Evangelicals.
No matter what the Republicans decide to do with the Democrat-Rubio amnesty bill, the percentage of Latinos voting Republican will not change appreciably, if at all. Doubling down on their once-practiced conservative principles however, will see gains from both segments.
You can pander to “victim groups” or you can win, it’s that simple; two choices.
But please don’t destroy the sovereignty of our nation, saddling us with far more debt and the further Balkanization of America, just because you can’t choose.

On April 19, 1775, the day after Paul Revere made his famous “midnight ride”, dozens of Patriots and Minutemen gathered at Lexington and Concord to exchange fire with British Regulars. That opening volley, discharged for American Liberty, has been termed the “Shot Heard `Round the World”.
Today, we honor their sacrifice for our liberty, and also honor generations of Patriots since those first brave souls, who repeatedly defended our freedom in our constitutional republic, and still do today.
The observance of Patriots’ Day commemorates the eternal vigilance for the defense of Liberty that Thomas Jefferson reminded us is essential. It showcases for us the sacrificial efforts expended by the Sons of Liberty, given that day, the beginning of the American Revolution, our War for Independence.
God bless America and the remembrance of what is truly important – this day and WHO we are as Americans. May we re-teach our young, many of whom do not know, and ourselves, never forget WHY we have what we do.

…And the State-Run Media is nearly unanimously shocked at the spontaneity exhibited by the crowd at a hockey game, judging by comments in the press.
After the barbaric attack on the onlookers at the Boston Marathon last Monday, where three attendees were killed and 176 wounded, thousands of folks in Bean Town came together to pull their spirits upward from the bloody atrocity visited on fans and bystanders at street level that day near the finish line on Boylston Street.
On the night of April 17, 2013 the Boston Bruins NHL hockey team was playing a home game at the Boston Gardens and, since it’s the Playoffs, the house was full.
At the opening, the traditional singing of our National Anthem began a rousing sing-along of the stirring song — the crowd standing to join soloist Rene Rancourt in a rousing rendition of that patriotic, uplifting standard. Probably the loudest, most enthusiastic Rene had heard since he started singing the Anthem there in 1976.
No greater compliment can be paid to that proclamation of the defense of Liberty, the Star-Spangled Banner, than those patriots raised at the Garden that night. In unison, with volume off-the-scale, with hearts full of pride and defiance at those who would choose to randomly slaughter innocent Americans, Boston was lifted. A violated city raised their voice against barbarism.
But the “free” press was shocked at the spontaneous display of exuberance for Freedom…
Why is a display such as this, an affirmative outpouring of nationalist pride, no longer viewed as expected, but as a cause for surprise?

Don’t light any candles, even though today marks the 100th anniversary of the insidious federal income tax. There’s no reason to celebrate.
Since its birth in 1913, this horrendous idea has continued to grow in scope and complexity. Now a century later, its progressive nature will continue to hit hardworking American taxpayers, hard. This year, the federal government will suck $2.7 TRILLION out of taxpayers’ pockets! (And they will still borrow over a TRILLION more…)
Americans will open their checkbooks and pay their taxes today, but the Imperial President and the progressive radicals in his Regime (including those in the House and Senate) will demand another TRILLION dollars in higher job-killing taxes over the next ten years. It should be called grand theft.
President Obama’s tax increases have raised the top taxpayer tab to 42%, yet he plans to slash deductions wherever he can… in spite of the fact he just “deducted” his way to a net 18.4% income tax rate for HIMSELF!
But YOU don’t pay enough, so fork it over. After all, to pay for what he plans to do to the country, this year’s $2.7 TRILLION income tax intake (marking the all-time record for the MOST money the federal government has ever taken in!) won’t be nearly enough…
Washington’s serious spending problem is only growing bigger, and our Imperial President’s scheme for the IRS to take more of your hard-earned money is doubly serious!
It’s time to send a demand to Speaker Boehner: “Stop the stupid, ongoing “CR” (Continuing Resolution) scam and demand a budget be passed, with substantial cuts in spending, or shut it down until fiscal sanity returns!”

It was sickening to hear today that Democrats in the Senate have put a “hold” on a resolution honoring the memory of Baroness Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1979-1990. Lady Thatcher, with President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II, are widely credited for bringing down the Soviet Union, “without a single shot fired” as the saying goes. Millions of souls tasted freedom because of them.
A woman who was the most respected female leader of any country in the 20th Century, who practically saved the British from a bankrupt future all by herself (from the clutches of the British Labor Party), is stiffed by the Socialist-Democrats in the U.S. Senate.
Aren’t we proud of our elected officials who supposedly stand for freedom and liberty, but disrespect the memory of a heroine who fought so valiantly to defend these?
Knowing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the minions of the Obama Regime on Capitol Hill… and what they “stand” for… not at all. Expected, from those of such shallow virtue and lack of honor.

Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1979-1990, affectionately known to her intimates as “Maggie” and dubbed by her leftist adversaries as the “Iron Lady”, passed away today at the age of 87 from a stroke.
We grieved this morning, remembering what she had done for the survival of western civilization. Another champion of freedom and defender of free-market capitalism was gone – enveloped by history.
Conservatives reeled at the loss of Ronald Reagan, as do those of us now who were captured by this lady’s exuberance for principled conservatism. She was a kindred soul to Ronald Reagan and possessed tremendous character and virtue. The two shared a love of their countries and the common purpose of both.
Lady Thatcher would give no quarter to the Left, beating back socialism in her country with a vengeance, while giving other countries the hope to regain lost ground in the battle to preserve Liberty. She greatly slowed and, in most ways reversed, the onslaught of progressive labor in her country, putting ownership of destiny back in the hands of the people. She was a champion of prosperity.
The work she performed as a distinguished fellow at The Heritage Foundation in her later years only served to endear her more to American conservatives, serving to remind us of her relationship with President Reagan and our common cause.
She gave us insight into our own battle against Statism, since she had inherited a country that had become morally bankrupt, a country in dramatic decline. Personal responsibility returned to her nation and her countrymen were proud of achievement again, thanks to her efforts and intractability under pressure.
Mrs. Thatcher revived Great Britain and restored pride across the United Kingdom after 40 years of disastrous ruination by the Left. And, like Reagan, she fought the elite establishment in her own party most of the way.
She knew, and understood, more about the American Founding than most in our own government today. And also understood the importance of a moral foundation to the survival of freedom.
Adieu, Lady Thatcher. Rest in eternity after a life well done. You are in good company; give our best to President Reagan and tell him we miss him, as we now do you.
Rest in peace; you’ve certainly earned it.

I received a GOP fundraiser note the other day, from Sharon Day at the RNC office inside the Beltway, asking for dollars to “Defend the House”. I responded as follows, entirely fed up at the insolence expressed:
Actions speak louder than words. Neither Boehner, nor Cantor, nor McCarthy, and not even Reince Priebus has any intent of SERIOUSLY de-throning the Imperial President. They will not raise a finger to stop what he is doing. They simply plan to “moderate” and reduce the damage, NOT reverse it. You don’t “compromise” with those who plan on destroying your country and your liberty and have said so publicly, repeatedly. You defeat them!
And Obama is not simply “back on the fundraising circuit”. HE never left; YOU did. His objective now, using the sequester and everything else, is to shred the GOP. Reince Priebus’ “plan” released last month does exactly what the Democrats want; the RNC has agreed to play by the DNC’s rules. BAD for your future and bad for OUR country.
The GOP did not “work hard” for its gains in the House. The conservative Tea Party movement did the work, and the result was the November, 2010 election landslide. You cannot take credit for that which you did not do. At the 2012 RNC convention, conservatives (and libertarians) were pushed to the periphery. The result of that slap-down was the election of November, 2012. I dare you to compare the two and come up with the same conclusion as that you expressed in your letter. The RNC insulted its base, its body; not a simple appendage.
The country is STILL waiting for the GOP to once again become the OPPOSITION PARTY. I would suggest you start now. The hour is late and the March employment numbers have been handed to you. The disaster of Obamacare has been handed to you. Dodd-Frank was handed to you. The EPA, Interior Dept., DOJ, Energy Dept., DHS, HHS, Education Dept. and other radicalized agencies of the Obama Regime are abusing the nation daily. Yet the GOP and the RNC sit on their hands. If you continue the lack of understanding of what Obama plans for you, 2014 will be ugly. The Dems are playing hardball, not ping-pong.
Get busy and do something for the country for a change, and maybe some conservatives will believe in the Republican “Party” again.
It takes standing on conservative founding principles, and defending them, not a bumper sticker.

A popular definition of insanity is: Doing the same thing, over and over again, expecting a different result. But it’s not the same as the old adage, “Try, try again.” That implies repeated effort, in an attempt to accomplish a goal.
The Obama Regime’s goal is not one that uses proven economic principle, but seeks to achieve the old Marxist ideal of “social justice” and the newly-invented “economic justice”.
Hence the resurrection of the failed program known as the Community Reinvestment Act, created under President Carter and championed later by famous progressives such as former Rep. Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd, who gave it a shot of steroids. This leftist “bad idea” was the driver behind the subprime crisis that crashed theU.S.housing market and initiated the 2007-2008 recession.
Not happy with a simple recession, the Obama Regime has done its best to build that into wide-spread economic disaster, announcing new federal mortgage standards under the FHA. The “Son of the CRA” will allow easier entry of marginally-able buyers into a still-strapped home loan market, by ordering banks to lower the threshold for a home loan.
The new limits are lowered to a minimum credit score of 500 and a meager down payment of 3.5% of the home’s value. Here comes ACORN-style bank intimidation again, to put people who should be renting into a house they cannot afford, increasing the foreclosure rate again. All courtesy of the Community Organizer in Chief who is living proof that old habits die hard and the definition of insanity certainly applies to radical Statists.

Late this week, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), former chairman of the RSC, and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), former VP candidate for president, revealed their plan to “deal” with the new, and improved, “Debt Ceiling Crisis”… not the plan for resistance to fiscal tyranny that we had hoped.
Basically, it allows the evil Debt Ceiling argument to subside a little for three months (that means the Republicans will buckle, allowing it to be raised for that time span), IF the Obama Regime will agree to submit a budget (which, the naive Republicans assume, will lead to spending controls). Remember, the House has submitted a budget both years it has been in Republican hands, but the Senate hasn’t fronted one since April, 2009. So the Obama Regime Senate hasn’t performed its constitutional duty at all since then. But they are still getting paychecks and bennies…
Rep. Jim Jordan was a reliable voice when he headed the conservative RSC (Republican Study Committee) in the House; but now, not so much — apparently. I have a simple question for Rep. Jordan: “What does your conservative soul feel like, now that it’s been emasculated by GOP House leadership and the advice of failed GOP consultants?”
He doesn’t understand WHAT he is dealing with, obviously!
This isn’t the “normal” Democrat Party that used to “negotiate” and “compromise”, Mr. Jordan. It’s not even close to “your father’s Oldsmobile”. Yet Republican pundits and consultants recommend that “this isn’t the hill to fight on”.
These demagogues have no intention of playing with Rep. Jordan on his turf. They seek to bury him under it. Their objective is to DESTROY their opposition. That means HIM.
Any compromise will be used on the GOP as “not finding solutions”, which means “not agreeing with the president and what HE wants”.
This isn’t Let’s Make a Deal. It’s “Let’s Make a Socialist Powerhouse with neutered Republicans.”
The Obama Regime Senate hasn’t passed a budget because they don’t need to. They passed a “stimulus bill” that REMAINS in the “baseline” budget — an $800+ billion poison pill that is spent, year after year, because it was added to the LAST (2009)budget. It’s still there, serving reliably as the Democrat slush fund it was meant to be.
The Socialist-Democrat Party has NO intention of cooperating on spending cuts or budgets. Because they don’t believe the first thing is a problem (they LIKE it) and they don’t have to do the second. NO ONE is forcing them to do anything!
Rep. Jordan must understand that the two words “in exchange” don’t work with the Regime. They have NO intention to exchange anything!
The GOP will put their plan forward, the press will destroy it, and the Soc-Dems will dare the Repubs to shut down the gov’t. Obama demanded the “debt ceiling” rise at his every whim — he didn’t give the Republicans an option. “No discussion; no debate.” I guess Rep. Jordan, Rep. Ryan and the rest didn’t receive a copy of his “decree”…
NO Republican in the House (aside from a few Tea Party-types) will stand up and expose the president’s plan to bankrupt the country, because they cannot comprehend of anyone ever planning to do that. They ARE really clueless as to this president’s intentions, despite numerous analyses produced over the last four years and a dozen films dealing with what lies underneath this president’s thin veneer.
Obama’s plan is proceeding and the House Republicans refuse to use the constitutional power to stop him. Obama is following Alinsky’s plan to the letter and the GOP doesn’t even believe Alinsky existed, let alone the hard left Statists running the executive branch are following his formula to the letter.
I fear for our country, when most of our elected officials in Congress, the supposed constitutional emergency brake the Founders planned for, sit back and place their meager brains in neutral.

The President’s press conference on Monday was very pointed — further demonize the Republican Party; denigrate it, diminish it, dissect it.
Pure Saul Alinsky, Cloward and Piven. Verbatim. Marx and Engels would be surprised at how easily he is accomplishing the destruction of his enemies.
And THAT is the crux of this contest; Barack Obama is at war with the Republican Party, aiming at their extinction. He has no plans to negotiate on anything; no compromises.
What is ridiculous is that the Republican Party doesn’t even realize that they are on the road to Dinosaur Land — the burial ground — forced there by a despotic president that is NOT interested in a debate or a discussion. He dictates and expects everyone to obey. And the GOP doesn’t even have the courage to return fire.
He won the election; that means the entire country is on his side.
Even the Republicans have acknowledged that, publicly.
Better throw in a bigger towel, Mr. Boehner. Apparently, the President didn’t see the first one.
But you had better check with Karl Rove and your other misguided consultants first. You know, the ones whose political savvy and expertise lost the last election so handily.
And keep ostracizing the Tea Party movement — the very people who saved the GOP’s “bacon” in 2010 and allowed you to have your job.
